Turchynov reminded of himself with a post on Facebook
Alexander Turchynov recalled that he is no longer acting as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
About this he wrote on Facebook.
“Recently, some media outlets have been disseminating information that I allegedly continue to serve as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. I remind you that on May 17 I turned to the president with a letter of resignation, and on May 19 the corresponding decree was signed. Thus, since the promulgation of the decree of the President of Ukraine “On the dismissal of A. Turchynov from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,” I have not worked as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council,” Turchynov noted.
“The assertion that I allegedly perform some duties as the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council is nonsense that does not correspond to reality and contradicts Ukrainian legislation,” he added.
Let us recall that Turchynov held the position of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council since December 2014. On May 17, Turchynov resigned due to the termination of the powers of President Petro Poroshenko.
