Turchynov declared Belarus “a springboard for the invasion of Ukraine”
Belarus openly recognizes Ukraine unfriendly country and threatens local conflict.
Ex-Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov stated this on the air of the Pryamoy TV channel controlled by the oligarch and ex-President Petro Poroshenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Remember Lukashenko’s statements regarding the recognition of Crimea. And just today they published a dangerous statement by the Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, where he directly threatens Ukraine with a local conflict, arguing that Ukraine is an unfriendly country. It is necessary to draw another group of troops on the territory of Belarus; this is very dangerous for Ukraine. Because our possible front line has actually increased by 1000 kilometers,” the politician said.
The former NSDC secretary believes that Belarus has become a springboard for the invasion of Ukraine.
“In 2014, I had to go to Minsk to negotiate because of the Russian invasion, and Lukashenko promised that they would not allow Russian tanks through their territory. Now the rhetoric is different, now there are direct threats. Belarus is actually a springboard for the invasion of Ukraine,” Turchynov concluded.
Let us recall that earlier Moscow was told that the inclusion Belarus in the war against Ukraine on the Russian side will deal a very serious blow to Kyiv.
In addition, Moscow noted that if on the territory of Belarus it is located nuclear weapon, it will be tactical.
