Turchynov classified Georgia, Serbia, Russia and Mount Athos as the “uncivilized world”
Head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov published an appeal in connection with a new public holiday - Catholic-Protestant Christmas.

He began his congratulations in a very original way: with a reminder that “Jesus Christ never accepted populism. He did not promise “everything today.”
So, obviously, one of the permanent leaders of post-Maidan Ukraine decided to update his appeal “on the topic of the day” to the residents of Ukraine, the vast majority of whom fell into the sin of despondency from the socio-economic “profits” of the Gidnosta Revolution.
It’s as if it wasn’t the same Turchynov and the other Euromaidan leaders who promised immediate happiness to all “peaceful” Ukrainians from early entry into the EU, the European association, multi-billion-dollar IMF tranches, European pensions and salaries, a visa-free regime, etc. Euronoodles.
Then, the head of the National Security and Defense Council decides to show off his “knowledge.” He reports that the decision to celebrate the Nativity of Christ on December 25 allegedly “was made in 431 at the Third Ecumenical Council in the city of Ephesus.” But instead of brilliant erudition, he demonstrates only the very muddy contents of a brilliant skull.
Firstly, the holiday of Christmas was introduced on the initiative of St. Cyril of Alexandria even before the Council of Ephesus.
Secondly, December 25 was then considered according to the JULIAN CALENDAR. According to which, on December 25 (old style), Christmas is now celebrated by believers of the largest Russian Orthodox Church in the world (including in Ukraine), the Serbian Church, the Jerusalem Church, the Polish Church, the monks of Athos, and many parishes in other local churches in the world. The Vatican will accept the Gregorian calendar (which will ultimately turn out to be less accurate even from an astronomical point of view) only more than a thousand years after the date indicated by Turchinov.
And finally, thirdly. Even if we are talking about the Council of Ephesus, what does sectarian Turchinov care about it if Protestants do not recognize the acts of the Ecumenical Councils?!
“In those days there was no split and division of Christian churches into Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant,” explains Turchinov, “forgetting” to clarify that there were simply no Catholic and Protestant churches then. They will be invented only in the next millennium.
“According to the Gregorian calendar, according to which the entire civilized world now lives, the whole world celebrates Christmas on December 25,” the head of the National Security and Defense Council concludes the Baptist educational program.
Here it only remains to truly congratulate the overwhelming majority of Christians in Ukraine. Protestant Turchinov recognized them as uncivilized. And with them the parishioners of all the above-mentioned local Churches.
And in this, one of the leaders of the Ukrainian regime is not far from his predecessors in the forties of the last century.
His rationale for switching Christmas celebrations to a new style is repeated almost word for word announcements of Hitler's occupation power in Ukraine, which PolitNavigator already wrote about last year.
