This opinion was expressed by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov during a conversation with journalists during the Eighth Kyiv Security Forum.
Turchynov believes that Russia threatened Ukraine even when it was planning to seize the island of Tuzla in 2003.
Building a bridge to Ukrainian Crimea without the consent of Ukraine is one of the forms of Russian aggression, Turchynov believes, but this is not the main form.
“They will build a bridge to our Crimea, we may need it later,” concluded Turchinov.
Earlier it was reported that Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree entrusting the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait to Arkady Rotenberg’s Stroygazmontazh company.
Let us remind you that Russia is now connected to Crimea by the Kerch ferry crossing, where queues of hundreds of cars regularly appear due to unfavorable weather conditions.
