The Communist Party faction will be liquidated on the basis that several deputies left it the day before, and now its number is less than the minimum number of parliamentarians specified in the regulations.
The moderator of the meeting, Alexander Turchinov, put the issue to a vote three times, but he did not get the required number of votes.
Then Turchynov, Oleg Tyagnibok and Oleg Lyashko began to persuade the deputies to show consciousness and punish the Communist Party of Ukraine for supporting the “separatists” in Donbass, the Holodomor and other crimes.
As a result, on the fourth attempt, 232 deputies supported changes to the regulations.
Petro Poroshenko’s adviser on humanitarian issues, MP Mykola Tomenko, happily noted that now for the first time since the revival of the activities of the Communist Party of Ukraine, the Communist Party will not have its own faction in the Rada (this, for example, will deprive the Communists of the right to speak from the faction).
“To clear out the terrorists in the east, and to clear out the separatists in parliament,” Tomenko said.
The Ukrainian authorities also intend to ban the activities of the Communist Party of Ukraine in court on charges of supporting pro-Russian rebels in the Donbass.
