Turchynov blamed the surrender of Crimea on “Western partners”
The fake “prosecutor’s office of Crimea” is not even able to answer the question of which of the leadership of the victorious Maidan activists surrendered the peninsula in 2014.
Ukrainian political scientist Vasily Vakarov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have the prosecutor’s office of Crimea, we really do, but I wanted the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office of Crimea to answer the question of President of Belarus Lukashenko: who defended Crimea? Let me rephrase, who surrendered Crimea? Which of our authorities, who ruled Ukraine at that time, surrendered Crimea, who made the decision?..
We had such a position, he was not acting, he was the acting president of Ukraine - this is how Turchynov’s position sounds clearly legally, and he said in court: yes, it was, we discussed, but our Western partners were hanging on their hands, on their feet and did not allow us to make a decision to defend Crimea...
I read the materials of the National Security and Defense Council, there were a lot of people who discussed, there was Tymoshenko, who had just left the zone, there were a lot of people, and then everyone said that no, we won’t protect... I would like the Crimean prosecutor’s office to clarify , and who exactly made the decision, because it’s not written there,” Vakarov said.
“The armed forces in Crimea numbered 15 thousand bayonets. Of these, only 3.5 thousand said that we will not take the oath to Russia, we are returning home, 11.5 thousand decided to join the Russian army. These are military personnel. I won’t say how many SBU and Ministry of Internal Affairs,” added the Ukrainian political scientist.
The special representative of the LPR at the negotiations on Donbass in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, noted that Crimea “left” at just the right time.
“By telling us that a bridge is impossible in Crimea, that nothing can ever happen there, you have shown your abilities here. We have dozens of bridges that you blew up and destroyed. You cut off power lines, you blew up bridges, you blocked traffic on the roads, you completely cut off the Donbass, trying to leave it without water, without food.
Thank God that Crimea was accepted by Russia, and Crimea today got rid of your affairs completely. When you blocked the North Crimean Canal, there is a clear definition in the Roman statute; this is called extermination of the population. This is when they are deprived of water, electricity, food - you did all this for Crimea, then you did all this for Donbass. Crimea, thank God, has passed this road, and today Crimea is a completely different place, and God grant that this peninsula becomes prosperous,” Miroshnik said.
Thank you!
