Turchynov resigned
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Alexander Turchynov wrote a letter of resignation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the department.
“In connection with the termination of the powers of the President of Ukraine, who appointed me to the position, I ask you to consider, in accordance with the law, the issue of terminating my powers as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,” the statement says.
Turchynov stated that he is ready “to continue to defend the country in military service in any military unit or military formation.”
Alexander Turchynov has held the position of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council since January 2015.
