This is stated in an appeal distributed by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada.
“Today the bodies of two brutally tortured people were found near Slavyansk. One of them was identified as the missing deputy of the Gorlovka City Council, a member of the Batkivshchyna party, Vladimir Rybak, who was kidnapped by terrorists the day before,” Turchynov said.
“The terrorists, who took virtually the entire Donetsk region hostage, crossed the border, starting to torture and kill Ukrainian patriots. They boldly challenged not only our country, but also the entire world community, when they defiantly violated the decisions that were made in Geneva,” the acting deputy believes. president.
He emphasized that “these crimes are being committed with the full support and connivance of the Russian Federation.”
“I demand that the security forces restore and carry out effective anti-terrorism measures aimed at protecting Ukrainian citizens living in the East of Ukraine from terrorists,” Turchynov said.
Let us recall, as Navigator reported, on April 19, the militia in Slavyansk announced that they did not recognize the agreements in Geneva, but on Easter they would not oppose the Ukrainian military. On the night of April 19-20 in Slavyansk, unknown persons fired at a checkpoint, resulting in the death of people, which was regarded by the rioters as a violation of the agreements.
