Turchynov plunges Ukraine into a terrible conflict
The initiator of the adoption of the law, according to which Christmas Day according to the Gregorian calendar, December 25, became a day off in Ukraine, is Security Council Secretary Alexander Turchynov, and the law itself is another attempt to infringe on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
Andrey Zolotarev, head of the Third Sector Center, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Turchinov is a sectarian, whom even the same Pentecostals and Baptists treat very carefully, with a certain skepticism. The well-known “Renaissance”, the church of Sunday Adelazhli – these are the co-religionists of our NSDC secretary.
For some reason, they throw stones at the Roman Catholics, but they took an extremely cautious position, and the Greek Catholic Church did not push this issue,” he said.
According to the expert, the introduction of the celebration of Catholic Christmas in an Orthodox country is another link in the chain of anti-church initiatives, which, for example, legalize the raider seizure of churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
“Therefore, the absolutely harmless decision about Christmas on December 25 causes me concern, since it lies within the fixed idea of creating the One Local Church. And in the process, the country may also plunge into religious conflict. And this is, by definition, a terrible and explosive thing,” Zolotarev said.
