They want to examine Turchinov by a psychiatrist
Statement by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov about plans to create a Ukrainian naval group in the Sea of Azov to counter Russian border guards cannot be implemented.
This opinion was expressed in a commentary to PolitNavigator by deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of previous convocations Vadim Kolesnichenko, assessing the threats of the Ukrainian politician.
“The head doctor of the psychiatric clinic needs to ask questions, because Turchinov’s words require a diagnosis. In principle, Ukraine does not have large combat ships; it has a so-called “mosquito fleet”. We understand perfectly well that the passage of warships under the Crimean Bridge is possible only with the consent of the Russian Federation. Guess at once whether the Russian Federation will allow warships to pass under the Crimean Bridge, given that in Ukraine there are constantly calls for sabotage against the bridge,” the politician said.
According to him, not least because of such threats, the security of the Crimean Bridge is at the highest level of protection.
“I believe that some kind of provocation will be undertaken under the guise that these warships want to enter the Sea of Azov. This moment will be the most difficult and the most specific. I think that the Russian Federation will find a sufficient number of physical means to prevent military intervention and not provoke a large-scale armed conflict, which is extremely necessary for Poroshenko and his gang today,” Kolesnichenko said.
