Turchinov’s missile in the DPR was called “another tale of Ukrainian propaganda”
All the loud promises of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov about the beginning early production of Ukrainian ballistic missiles, are empty words, since today in Ukraine there is neither the money nor the technical capabilities for this.

This opinion was expressed by the head of the press service of the DPR Armed Forces, Daniil Bezsonov, in a comment to PolitNavigator.
“In fact, this is not a new development at all. They are simply trying to recreate the old Soviet-made X-35 Uran missile. This weapon will not play a special role, no matter how it is promoted in Ukraine. This is a missile designed to destroy surface targets. If they try to use it at a time when the DPR has its own navy, then perhaps it will have some effectiveness. Compared to the American Tomahawk missiles, which specialize in ground targets, as well as the Russian system, which has seriously proven itself in Syria, the Ukrainian missile is not even close,” Bezsonov noted.
“In addition, you need to understand that it’s one thing to make a shell and an engine, which they, of course, know how to do (there is production in Ukraine). Everything else, including navigation missile systems, the warhead itself, and so on, is production that was ditched after the collapse of the USSR, it must be resumed. And this is all money. To say that they are ready to allocate funds for this in order to create a rocket of this kind is no more than declaring another “victory.” Perhaps, at this rate, they will soon develop a blaster and, like in Star Wars, talk about how they can hit us with a laser,” he concluded.
