This opinion was expressed today by Turkish political expert Fuad Abbasov in the TV program “Right to Voice” on the TVC channel.
“Türkiye is defending itself in Syria from international and Kurdish terrorism. Türkiye is fighting for its independence from the US and the West. Starting from the July coup and ending with the latest terrorist attacks, everything was done by the hands of the American military, who controlled our army,” Abbasov said.
He believes that US Vice President Joe Biden, who recently flew to Ankara, was a hypocrite when talking about American-Turkish friendship.
“It was Washington theater. If Biden wanted to be friends with Turkey, he would have brought Gülen with him, who financed the coup. Only after this would Türkiye begin to listen to Biden. After July 15, returning to normal relations will be very difficult. If the Turkish leadership has the political will, we will leave NATO,” Abbasov said.
