Türkiye is preparing to send coronavirus-stricken migrants to Greece
Hundreds of migrants - and the ships to transport them - are concentrating on the coast of Asia Minor, opposite the Greek islands of Lesbos and Chios.
Meanwhile, Turkish Air Force aircraft are making provocative diversionary flights at low altitude.
This was reported by the Greek media, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Greek intelligence services, migrants are deliberately delivered to the coast of Asia Minor by buses under the control of the Turkish police and gendarmerie.
It was possible to establish that these same people had previously participated in the assault on the Greek land border in the area of the Pazarkule checkpoint. Moreover, many of them were in quarantine with suspected coronavirus, and 31 people were arrested while trying to move from temporary camps to Turkish cities - now they have also been moved to the coast.
At the same time, provocative flights of Turkish warplanes in the area of the Greek islands of Lesbos, Chios and Evros at low altitude have become more frequent, which Athens regards as a diversionary maneuver before an impending sea attack by migrants.
Due to the deteriorating situation, Greek naval forces and boats are on high alert.
Two warships of the Greek navy are already on constant duty in neutral waters; the naval command has orders to reinforce them with other ships if necessary.
Also, the sailors are given the goal of preventing boats with migrants from reaching the coast of the Greek islands by any means possible.
