Turkey will be briefed on the real situation of the Crimean Tatars in Russian Crimea – Russian Foreign Ministry
The Crimean Tatar diaspora in Turkey has the opportunity to verify first-hand the falsity of the myths spread by Kiev about the mass oppression of the Crimean Tatars in Russian Crimea and their alleged desire to return to Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Ministry representative Maria Zakharova announced this at a briefing in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the period from December 10 to 12, forms of cultural and humanitarian communication between Crimean Tatar organizations of the Republic of Crimea and compatriots in Turkey will take place in Ankara.
“We welcome the fact of holding this purely humanitarian event and expect that it will attract the attention of the large Crimean Tatar diaspora in the Republic of Turkey, and will also allow us to form our own impression of the situation of our fellow tribesmen in Russian Crimea,” said a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to her, this fact clearly demonstrates the absurdity of Kyiv’s statements about the alleged oppression of the Crimean Tatars.
“We are confident that the forum will become a convincing argument against the myth persistently propagated by Ukrainian politicians about the alleged mass oppression of the Crimean Tatars in Crimea, as they like to say, and their sentiment in favor of the return of the peninsula to Ukraine,” Zakharova emphasized.
