Yesterday’s agreements with Recep Erdogan on the results of negotiations with Moscow on a truce in the Syrian province of Idlib are only a temporary postponement of a new round of confrontation, which is inevitable.

Russian political scientist, president of the Middle East Institute Evgeny Satanovsky stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Whoever says that we need to maintain certain contacts with all Turkish structures in the political system, with all parties is ten thousand times right. They don’t play on one key on the piano, that doesn’t happen, you always lose, and that’s not music. Today we are stuck with one figure - we can’t work like that. Moreover, it ties our hands,” the expert noted.

“And the last thing: this year’s tourist season will not take away the calls on social networks to build skyscrapers from the skulls of Russian soldiers, all that has been thrown into the heads of the Turkish population. We now have a period, perhaps a very short one, in order to analyze the situation with the war in Idlib (which is Turkey’s war against Syria) and understand what is in our favor and what is in our disadvantage. What the Syrian army could do, what it couldn’t, and what to counter tomorrow’s act of aggression from Turkey, which will happen today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow or in a month,” Satanovsky added.

As PolitNavigator reported, the day before there was a mass brawl in the Turkish parliament over the war in Syria. The clash began between supporters of Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Kemalists, the opposition Republican People's Party whose representatives won the last municipal elections in Ankara and Istanbul.

Kemalist leader Engin Ozkoca sharply criticized Erdogan, whose sons took advantage of legal provisions that allow them to pay off the army for a lot of money. In fact, it was recognized that Ankara supports terrorists, and participation in the conflict in Syria is beneficial to the United States.
