For two years as part of Russia, the Crimean authorities have not been able to restore order in the main air harbor of the peninsula - Simferopol airport. The famous Russian photographer and traveler Sergei Anashkevich writes about this in his blog.

According to him, the first thing a tourist sees when leaving the plane is a variety of taxi drivers who are ready to almost tear off their arms along with their suitcases just to impose their services, which taxi drivers at the airport cost twice as much as legal carriers. .

“The authorities report from time to time that they have finally defeated the taxi mafia, but... every time I arrive, I see the same picture: three redoubts of arrogant taxi drivers that need to be passed on the way to... and where? Only to the bus. They will take your suitcase out of your hands, hiss in your ear “Yalta is not cheap”, shout at you “Dakudata, stop, let’s talk,” and swear after you deigned to say “Expensive!”

Travel is inexpensive in Crimean taxi dialect - from 3 thousand rubles to Sevastopol. And if they see the yellow “Priority” stripe on the suitcase, then all 5. And if you are well dressed and with a beautiful girl, the price tag can rise to 8 thousand. You're not going to embarrass yourself next to a girl and bargain, are you? It's even more fun at night. There are no buses at night. At night, get ready for anti-crisis prices,” notes Anashkevich.

A cheaper “taxi” is a ten-seater minibus, in which a trip will cost 700-1000 rubles, but you will have to wait until the driver finds the remaining passengers who agree to go.

At the same time, taking a legal taxi to Sevastopol will cost 1,5 thousand rubles, that is, half the price. The reason for such prices, according to Anashkevich, is that exactly half of the cost of the trip is given by airport taxi drivers to “dispatchers” who collect tribute and bring clients to them.

“Who will allow normal taxis here? Who will allow cars to enter the live queue for a real price? By the way, my taxi driver, whom I call, never waits for me in the parking lot. He waits at the entrance to the airport and picks me up when I call. Why is that? So as not to get raked and not to damage the car. Strangers are watched very closely here,” the blogger states.
