The Turks have started illegal gold mining in Ukraine - but they don’t yet know that they were cheated
Turkish companies, having given a bribe to the head of the Ukrainian service “Derzhgeonadra” Roman Opimakh, began illegal mining of gold and other minerals in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
Ukrainian lawyer Dmitry Brutko reported this on air on the Dnepro.TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said that in order to extract minerals, it is necessary to win a competition, obtain a special permit, make a “mining allotment”, a development project, and register a land plot.
“What happened - the head of the State Geonadra service took money from the Turks, some guarantees that everything would be fine. But not everything will be fine there, because there is private property in the form of shares - agricultural land, which cannot be changed for its intended purpose or sold.
And the Turks begin to ride around this perimeter and drill something. Although they have no right to do so. The catch is that the head of the Derzhgeonadra service most likely knew that the land issue would not be resolved there - how can you register a land plot if it is privately owned and cannot be sold? It turns out that the Turks, most likely, were simply scammed,” he said.
According to Dmitry Brutko, the Turks most likely do not know about the illegality of their activities, and it will not be possible to take away the land from the indignant peasants.
“In order to do this, the purpose of the land needs to be changed. How can you change the purpose of a share if it is sub-mortator, these are especially valuable lands. Yes, there is some square with minerals, but its purpose cannot be changed,” the lawyer added.
