“The main reason is the excessively high prices announced at the beginning of the season; in July-August they began to decline, but it was already too late,” the publication writes.
Officially, the authorities of the peninsula admitted a decrease in tourist flow by 5%, the newspaper clarifies.
However, the neighboring Krasnodar Territory also recorded a drop - up to 12-16%. Experts explain this trend by the refusal of many families with children to vacation in Russia.
According to the results of the first half of this year, the number of outbound tourist trips by Russians increased by 29% compared to the same period last year.
