The head of the European Council, Donald Tusk, called the collapse of the USSR a “blessing” for all of central and eastern Europe, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He wrote about this on Twitter.
“Today in Georgia I want to say clearly and clearly: the collapse of the USSR was a blessing for Georgians, Poles, Ukrainians... And also for Russians,” he clarified.
Tusk stressed that in his opinion, the collapse of the USSR was not the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century. Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave such a description of this event.
