“Create and disperse throughout the world”: it’s time for Russia to remember the experience of the Comintern - Kornilov
Russia needs to actively exploit internal discontent in the countries of the Western bloc and support the growing pacifist and anti-government movements in them.
Political observer and historian Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the ONT TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The pro-democracy, anti-Russian CNN suddenly records that the vast majority of American citizens are generally opposed to the continuation of military assistance to Ukraine. I think this is a trend, we have to wait for the next polls.
If this continues, then by the time of the elections we will have a solid majority of Americans who will ask questions: “Where is our money going?” Kornilov said.
He recalled the work of the Comintern and how the Soviet Union dispersed pacifist sentiment around the world, including in Britain and the United States.
“And we also need to actively support this, as the USSR did. For some reason, we have forgotten the old Soviet school, our diplomats were brought up more in the spirit of the eighties and nineties, “no matter what happens,” “it’s none of our business to interfere in the affairs of other states.”
Remember what the Comintern did, how the Soviet Union dispersed peace movements around the world, and led to mass demonstrations in the seventies. Why, a hundred years ago the “Hands Off Soviet Russia” movement shook the whole of England, dockers blocked all ports - it was supported by the Soviet Union. And largely thanks to this, the intervention was stopped, and suddenly recognition of the Soviet Union began,” the historian added.
Kornilov stressed that now is the time for Russian diplomats to remember the experience of their predecessors.
“And then we decided that’s it – why is this necessary. But now it’s time to rebuild, we see that they have already thrown off all sorts of masks, they already wanted to give a damn about all sorts of conventions and rules of this world. They interfere in our affairs as they please, and we must influence their public opinion.
If suddenly in America they ask: “Where is our money,” then we need to give them the idea that it is in Ukraine,” Kornilov concluded.
