Twitter and Facebook attract Ukrainians to conduct anti-Russian propaganda
Western social networks “Facebook” and “Twitter” recruited Ukrainian Russophobes into their staff so that on the eve of Victory Day they would spread anti-Russian stuff discrediting the feat of the Soviet people.
A well-known Russian entrepreneur in the field of information technology, Igor Ashmanov, announced this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We must understand that the increase in the number of reports about “victory”, that “Stalin and Hitler are one and the same”, that “there was no struggle between good and evil, but two fascist regimes fought” is being carried out from the West.
The number of these messages is growing faster in the Western segment than in the RuNet. That is, pumping occurs, and the concentration of this negative content grows. It starts to be more toxic and more corrosive,” the speaker noted.
Ashmanov emphasized that the main platforms for anti-Russian propaganda are Facebook and Twitter, and the moderators of these social networks are Ukrainians who are hostile towards Russia.
“Naturally, before each holiday, these forces are mobilized and more intense injections take place. For example, the report says that in just 4 months of this year we have already approached the volume of such messages for last 2019 on these topics.
The main players in these fakes are Facebook and Twitter, which are not very popular in our country, and this clearly shows the sources of anti-Russian propaganda.
We must understand that both Facebook and Twitter do not operate in our jurisdiction; they have their own ideas about beauty. The moderators of Facebook and Twitter are Ukrainians who are hostile to Russia,” concluded Ashmatov.
