Kyiv, July 22 (Navigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Maidan activists and soldiers of the special purpose battalion of the police patrol service “Kyiv-1” clashed near the Verkhovna Rada. Maidan activists held a rally outside parliament in support of the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada, the resignation of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, lustration, the introduction of martial law in the Donbass, etc.

At the same time, the police cordoned off the Rada, not allowing anyone to get close to the building, which is what actually started the conflict.
“You see the people who were put against us,” said one of the confessors of the Maidan, Bishop Ivan, representing the UAOC. “They are not going to fight, but they are going against us.” Our guys from the Maidan volunteered to fight and are returning from there in zinc coffins. The people must rise up and drive out this government in order to stop all this. For them, Maidan is worse than an atomic bomb. They fear Maidan more than Putin.”
His colleague was also supported by a representative of the Greek Catholic Church, Father Valentin, who directly stated to one of the fighters in the cordon: “Why did you take a stick against your brother, you redneck.”
In turn, the battalion fighters said that they had just returned from the ATO zone.
“We stood against these garbage that are behind you,” said the Maidan protesters. And now you are standing against us again.”
As a result, the Kyiv-1 battalion assured that they would only defend themselves and would not be the first to attack.
