The leader of the VO "Svoboda" Oleg Tyagnibok said this while speaking on the banks of the Zbruch River, on the occasion of the so-called reunification of the UPR and WUNR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The politician announced that Ukraine is not the heir of the Ukrainian SSR.
“We are the heirs of the state of Prince Svyatoslav, we are the heirs of the Cossack state, we are the heirs of the state of the hetman period, we are the heirs of the Ukrainian People's Republic, the Western Ukrainian People's Republic, the Carpathian Ukraine, the state of June 30, 1941. And the Ukrainian so-called Soviet Socialist Republic was just an occupation administration. We need to define in law, and our deputies submitted it, that Ukraine was occupied by Soviet Russia, which later, from December 22, became known as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
We need to define this in law, in the Constitution. There was a Moscow-Ukrainian war of 1918-21. As a result of this war, we, the Ukrainian state, were occupied by Soviet Russia. And this period from 21 to 91 was the period of Moscow’s occupation of Ukraine. This should be written down in the law,” Tyagnibok said.
Let us note that the Act of June 30, 1941, to which the deputy refers, provided that the independent Ukraine proclaimed by Bandera’s supporters would be allied with Hitler’s Germany.
