Tyagnibok scares Zelensky with Saakashvili’s “rabid opposition”
Today, ex-governor of the Odessa region and former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, who is singing odes to the new President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, can quickly turn into an oppositionist.
The leader of the VO “Svoboda”, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleg Tyagnibok stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the nationalist Saakashvili, he both received citizenship illegally from Poroshenko and was deprived of it illegally, and the whole story of issuing him a passport was Poroshenko’s war against former Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
“Poroshenko granted citizenship to Saakashvili illegally. He wanted to strengthen his position, in particular in Odessa, Saakashvili promised him the post of prime minister after Yatsenyuk was expelled from the post of prime minister. After failing to fulfill this promise, he received furious opposition from Saakashvili and members of his team, which he brought to Ukraine, and this led, again, to the illegal deprivation of Saakashvili’s citizenship.
The current President Zelensky must understand that in the near future, in a few months, he may receive from Saakashvili, if something goes wrong in their relationship, the same serious portion of criticism,” Tyagnibok said.
