Tyagnibok: The Russian language should remain for conversations in kitchens
The Russian language should remain for conversations in kitchens; it has no place in the socio-political life of Ukraine. This was stated by the leader of the nationalist party “Svoboda” Oleg Tyagnibok at a rally in Kyiv on the occasion of the anniversary of the creation of the UPA.

“When Putin went to war against us, he declared three ultimatums: under no circumstances should we integrate with Europe, carry out federalization and introduce a second state language.
Now many people are speculating - but Russian-speaking people are also fighting! So what! Well, they are fighting for Ukraine! But this does not mean that you support Putin and his demands in relation to Ukraine. On the contrary, we must value our own, Ukrainian.
Do we want to ban other people's things? Are we saying: don’t speak this or that language? Yes, at home, in the kitchen - please, in private life, but at least speak Chinese! But if you are a citizen, and even a government employee, use the state language!
When we were in the Verkhovna Rada, banging books on the tables, the Ukrainian parliament practically switched to the Ukrainian language. And now half of them almost speak Russian. And now most ministers, heads of committees, governors do not hesitate to speak Russian!” – Tyagnibok laments.
