Tyagnibok threatens to force Zelensky to “carry out the will of the nation”
Nationalists held a picket outside the office of the President of Ukraine, demanding that the new government continue the policy of Ukrainization.
About two thousand people took part in the action, representatives of the VO “Svoboda”, “National Corps”, “Right Sector”, KUN and OUN, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The head of Svoboda, Oleg Tyagnibok, also addressed the audience, according to whom, today “there is a very bad trend.”
“60 days have passed since Zelensky was president, but his statements, the statements of his advisers, on the one hand, differ from each other, on the other, they are threatening for the future development of the Ukrainian state, Ukrainian society. We, nationalists, must make this government work in the interests of the Ukrainian nation. As long as the government is not guaranteed Ukrainian, we will force it to do as the Ukrainian nation and Ukrainian society want,” Tyagnibok said.
He claims that the new government began “a real attack on the best achievements of the Revolution of Dignity,” which included “Ukrainization, the development of Ukrainian culture, Ukrainian cinema, and the Ukrainian language.”
The nationalist was also outraged by the refusal of the head of the presidential party, Dmitry Razumkov, to speak Ukrainian, adding that the official is obliged to speak the state language, and the president is obliged to “carry out the will of the Ukrainian nation.”
“And every time we will come here and every time we will remind the demands of the Ukrainian nation. And what is our vision of how the country will develop. We must get our faction in parliament, Ukrainian nationalists. Only we, no one else, will force them to work in Ukrainian. Only we, nationalists, will be able to stop the revenge of the pro-Moscow dictatorship - all these “Opposition Blocs”, “For Life”, and others who want to build a “Russian world”. Only we will protect the national information space,” Tyagnibok threatened.
