Tyagnibok leaves the political arena - did not pass the test of power
Kyiv, October 20 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – On October 27, the VO “Svoboda” project will disappear, since the party could not pass the test of entering power.
This post-election forecast is given by the Kiev weekly Delovaya Stolitsa, which notes that after the Maidan victory, Svoboda lost its main “sparring partner” in the person of Viktor Yanukovych.

“The Tyagnibokovites continued to fight with the enemy in the person of the Kremlin masters mainly in words, while in the country, during the war in Donbass, a whole galaxy of people appeared who daily prove this in practice, and the fight against phantoms became of no interest to anyone, except, of course, Russian propaganda, trying to present everything that happens in Ukraine in the past, present, and future from its own perverted perspective,” the publication writes.
The weekly believes that Svoboda’s mistake was its reluctance to refuse to hold an action in honor of the UPA on October 14, which ended in riots and fights, which ultimately gave rise to the creation of a picture of “brutalized Kyiv fascists.”
“The unwillingness to change on the fly has already become a distinctive feature of Svoboda,” states Delovaya Stolitsa. “And this despite the fact that the marginal result of 1,16% of the votes received by Oleg Tyagnibok in the presidential elections on May 25, 2014 simply obliged us to carry out a global internal party reform or at least reconsider the basic principles of our own positioning in the eyes of voters.”
