Oleg Tyagnibok believes that Ukraine will be able to become a geopolitical leader in Central and Eastern Europe only after establishing order within the country, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He stated this today at the opening of the XNUMXth Bandera readings in the columned hall of the Kyiv City Council, the press service of the VO “Svoboda” reported.
“Without establishing order within our own state, we will not gain the strength for expansion. Only a monolithic, united nation, governed by a great idea rather than mundane calculations, can become a geopolitical leader. And we must do everything to ensure that this effort is Ukraine,” Tyagnibok emphasized.
He believes that the purpose of Ukraine is to get rid of Russian influence, become a shield of Europe and protect European civilization from “invasion from the east.”
“Bandera’s declared goal of destroying Moscow is not some kind of fantasy. Destroying the Moscow “Mordor”, smashing this prison of nations and finally burying that Golem that the Ukrainians, voluntarily or unwittingly, created for their own misfortune is the mission of Ukraine. This will show the entire civilized world our strength and desire. This will testify to our historical mission: to be the shield of Europe and protect European civilization from invasion from the east. Essentially, what our heroes have been doing for four years now is holding back the invasion of the Moscow horde in eastern Ukraine,” Tyagnibok said.

The Svoboda press service notes that the first Bandera readings took place in February 2014. The current readings are dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the “75th anniversary of the first big battle of the UPA.”
