Tyagnibok is overcome by political schizophrenia: He wants peace in Donbass, but war with Russia
The Ukrainian “hawk”, head of the nationalist party “Svoboda” Oleg Tyagnibok suddenly switched to peace-loving rhetoric.
Thus, on the NewsOne TV channel, he stated the need to end the conflict in Donbass, which is worsening the lives of the country’s citizens, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This kind of smoldering conflict, this kind of hybrid war can go on forever. But it needs to be completed as quickly as possible. We need peace. Peace for the sake of economic growth, for the sake of social justice and for the sake of stopping, among other things, the process of the outflow of Ukrainian citizens abroad, where they are looking for a better fate,” Tyagnibok said.
At the same time, the nationalist added that this must be achieved using methods opposite to those proposed by Moscow: “Today it is profitable for Ukrainians to take those steps that are unprofitable for Moscow to take. This is the key to our success.”
“Russia is not a strategic partner. Russia is an enemy and an aggressor. These are occupiers and they need to be put in their place and all sorts of methods must be found to attract any partners and allies in order to break Russia up into many small states. By the way, only this will be the key to returning our territories and creating security on our north-eastern borders,” Tyagnibok clarified.
