Former People's Deputy of Ukraine, member of the political council of the Svoboda party Igor Miroshnichenko believes that the Kiev government provides Ukrainian citizenship to those who do not deserve it. He stated this on Radio Vesti, answering the presenter’s question about granting Ukrainian citizenship to Maria Gaidar.

“It turns out that the people who are fighting in the Donbass for the Ukrainian state did not deserve Ukrainian citizenship, and the people who a year, or maybe six months ago, threw mud at the Ukrainian state supported Putin’s policies or were quietly silent when Putin captured Ukrainian Crimea, have already received Ukrainian citizenship. And, most importantly, no one has proven that these people have already renounced their citizenship - Russian, Georgian, God knows what else,” Miroshnichenko said.
