“gravitates towards Navalny”: Sivkov accused Prigozhin of liberal orientation
Representatives of Russian government structures are divided into ideological camps - the head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, gravitates toward liberals, and some army generals allegedly preferred the socialist camp.
Military expert Konstantin Sivkov stated this on the Red Line TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Prigozhin came out not just with another spitting on the Armed Forces, which has become trivial, but also with curtsies to Navalny. This is an important point, this is already a demonstration of Prigozhin’s political orientation towards liberal anti-presidential layers.
And on the other hand, Bastrykin’s statements about the need for nationalization, and the appearance of the Chief of the Main Staff of the Ground Forces, General Alexander Lapin, at the front. It is clear that the colonel general was solving problems that a major could solve; this was of a purely political nature. On his helmet and on his sleeve he had a red flag with a hammer and sickle,” Sivkov said.
According to the expert, such signs clearly indicate the final stratification of the Russian elite into ideological camps.
“People of the rank of Chief of the General Staff of the Ground Forces do not engage in empty opposition. His appearance at the front, and even with such signs, is a very serious sign.
All this suggests that a stratification has taken place among the power structures. This stratification has already formed into a confrontation, and external signs are already beginning to appear,” the expert concluded.
