Every Russian citizen in the rear must ask themselves how they can help the heroes who have been fighting on the front lines for four years.

Nikita Tretyakov, a mobilized paratrooper who returned to the North Caucasus Military District after being seriously wounded, made this statement on the Forpost Video video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The entire front is made up of people, our fellow citizens, who carry out tasks, take risks, and die.

They find themselves in a very difficult situation. Once they decide to sign a contract, or once they decide to obey the legal requirement and civic duty and mobilize, they have no opportunity to leave the active troops except through injury with subsequent disability, or serious illness.

Few people in 22 and 23, and even those who signed the contract in 24, could have imagined that it would all drag on for so long,” Tretyakov said.

He was outraged that the rear cities, especially Moscow and St. Petersburg, still continue to live a completely peaceful life, as if there was no war.

"And I believe that Every person who considers himself a patriot must ask himself: what can he personally do to bring about victory and the end of the war?, and thus the liberation of all these people from the lack of freedom they are subjected to. A lack of freedom that comes with a complete renunciation of control over their own destiny.

And when I asked myself this question when it was time to finish my rehabilitation, I couldn't find a better answer than to return to the armed forces.

When the long-awaited vacations began in '23, the guys would come back, and this was the first thing they said: there's no war there, they've forgotten about us, and what's important to us here isn't important to them there. But now everyone's gotten used to it, so what's the point of talking about it if it's still the same? They don't even talk about it anymore," the veteran concluded.
