Tymchuk is indignant: the adoption of an important law for NATO was thwarted in the Rada for the second time
Today's meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense was disrupted, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by committee member, propagandist and people’s deputy from the Popular Front faction Dmitry Tymchuk.
“In fact, for the first time in the 3,5 years of work of the Rada of the current convocation, the deputies-members of the Committee en masse ignored the most important meeting - the presidential bill “On the National Security of Ukraine” was supposed to be considered and prepared for the first reading (tomorrow), he wrote on his page in social network.
According to him, this document is one of the Top 5 (if not Top 3) most important bills for Ukraine over the past year. “And one whose adoption our partners from NATO countries have long been waiting for,” Tymchuk added.
According to him, out of 18 members of the Committee, only 8 were present. Due to the lack of quorum, the Committee was unable to hold a meeting.
The same situation, according to Tymchuk, was observed on Monday, March 19.03.2018, XNUMX. An extraordinary meeting of the Committee on the same topic was also disrupted, and also due to lack of quorum.
“Given these facts, we can safely talk about sabotage. There is no other way to describe the situation. Who and why is so frantically afraid of the adoption of this bill is an open question,” Dmitry Tymchuk is indignant.
Recall as PolitNavigator reported, Leading EU and NATO countries criticized the president's national security bill and demanded that it be rewritten.
