Tymchuk admitted that he no longer understands where the FSB special operations are and where the journalistic investigations are.
Ukraine, using workaround schemes, is forced to purchase components for its military equipment from the Russian Federation.
Ukrainian propagandist, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense Dmitry Tymchuk spoke about this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe”.
According to him, Russia spread information in the media and social networks that the Ukrainian group had fallen into a cauldron at the Debaltsevo bridgehead, which “played a serious role in the demoralization” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel.
Tymchuk also claims that “Russia’s information aggression is carried out through very many channels, and very often you don’t understand where the journalistic investigations are and where the FSB special operation is.”
“We now have a big problem with a number of components for military equipment that are not available in Ukraine. I know of cases when our investigative journalists, with completely pure intentions, began investigations into documents, not understanding where they were leaked, and with these investigations they simply blocked deliveries. A striking example is the repair of armored vehicles,” says the propagandist.
He recalled that the BMP-1 and BMP-2 in service with Ukraine require components that are produced only in the Russian Federation, where purchases cannot be made, since the Rada has banned trade in military products.
“Accordingly, we have to purchase the same components, but through various intermediary companies abroad, Belarus, for example, or other countries of Eastern Europe. This is formal compliance with Ukrainian legislation. But when these stories begin to emerge during the investigation, they present it as a corruption scheme. On the one hand, the fight against corruption, and on the other hand, you need to understand when there really is corruption, and when it is a forced measure, and there are no other alternatives.
I know of a case where serious transactions on components were blocked precisely because of documents that, according to our information, were leaked through our respected media by the Russian FSB. As a result, our defense complex was deprived of the opportunity to produce certain models needed by the army on time,” Tymchuk complains.
