Tymchuk: The SBU will be reformed on the model of the OUN-UPA
Kyiv, April 08 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The Security Service of Ukraine should be reformed following the example of the OUN-UPA and rebuilt to modern realities. People's Deputy of Ukraine, founder of the Information Resistance group Dmitry Tymchuk stated this in an interview with the Den newspaper.

According to him, now the main work of the intelligence services should be aimed at counterintelligence.
“I don’t know how much one can compare the system of special services that worked in the OUN-UPA with modern special services. If only because in those days there were no cyber threats. But, nevertheless, if we take the approaches, then, without a doubt, the OUN-UPA had the strongest counterintelligence, which is recognized even by opponents of the national liberation movement. Regarding current threats, we are convinced that today’s situation requires very powerful counterintelligence work,” Tymchuk said.
