Let us remind you that yesterday information appeared in the media that the militia released 150 prisoners in Gorlovka, with whom they replenished their ranks by giving them weapons.
This was announced by the speaker of the Information and Analytical Center of the National Security and Defense Council Andrey Lysenko. “The militants, who have suffered large losses of manpower, have released 150 convicts from a local colony, armed them and are using them to intimidate the local population and resist the forces of the anti-terrorist operation,” he said.
The State Penitentiary Service denies this information.
“Within the administrative territory of the city of Gorlovka, Donetsk region, there are three penal institutions where convicted men are serving their sentences. There were no cases of illegal release of convicts, the situation is satisfactory,” the jailers said.
As Navigator reported, this is not the first time rumors about the release of prisoners have appeared. Earlier, information also appeared in the press that the rioters were taking away weapons from the guards.
