Akhmetov had bad news for the Ukrainian energy sector
Ukrainian energy cannot be restored to one hundred percent. The population will have to live in a shortage of electricity until spring
The executive director of the energy company DTEK, owned by oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, Dmitry Sakharuk, stated this on the Dom TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the top manager, the electricity shortage will continue in Ukraine at least until the end of winter.
“The restrictions are caused by the fact that we cannot now restore one hundred percent to the state of the equipment that was before the attacks. We will probably do this after our victory,” said the head of the company.
“Now the task is to provide first aid to the energy system so that it produces the minimum amount of electricity possible in this situation. There is a shortage in this regard. It will most likely be with us until the end of the autumn-winter period, when there is a serious increase in electricity consumption by, first of all, the population. Industry plus/minus remains at the same level as in summer or spring,” Sakharuk said.
