This was announced by Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Varchenko, Radio Liberty reports.

“The investigation does not clearly indicate that this is Russia. But it is considering the version of a Russian trace and a desire to destabilize the situation in Ukraine,” Varchenko said.

He assures that law enforcement officers conducted the investigation in almost detail over the course of a year and completed their tasks by 95%.

“The investigation, as far as it was possible to conduct it during this year, was carried out in almost detail. We have almost two thousand respondents, 150 terabytes of information that has now been analyzed, from which conclusions have been drawn. And we understand that there is a certain circle of suspects, we also understand that these suspects may now be hiding, and most likely are hiding. Therefore, I understand that the law enforcement system in terms of the investigation has currently done 95% of the work that could be done based on the data and evidence that could now be collected,” said the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Let us remind you that on July 20, 2016, at about 7:45 am, an explosion occurred in a car at the intersection of Bohdan Khmelnytsky and Ivan Franko streets in Kyiv. The explosion killed journalist Pavel Sheremet.
