Such an unexpected counterargument, addressed to the residents of Donbass in response to a story on one of the Russian channels about national guardsmen who allegedly sold people into slavery, was voiced by Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, during a round table in Kyiv, where standards of journalistic activity in conflict situations were discussed, the correspondent reports "PolitNavigator".

According to him, the parties to the conflict taking place in Donbass do not want to hear each other. At the same time, the official who got into the new Rada on the list of the Popular Front party focused on only one of the parties to the conflict - the DPR and LPR, whose population resists the information conveyed by Kyiv.
“For example, residents of Donbass, who have listened to false Russian propaganda for 10 years, often no longer want to accept arguments,” believes Anton Gerashchenko. – You tell them that the Ukrainian military could not crucify a three-year-old boy in the square in Slavyansk, because it is absurd to come to the city that you liberated and turn the population against you. But no one hears these arguments. You are trying to explain that slavery, so to speak, has not been the most effective way of using human labor for hundreds of years, but no one believes in this either. Events are developing according to the signs that Goebbels spoke about - the bigger the lie, the more people believe in it.”
