Avakov is indignant: the DPR gunner was released under the Savchenko law
A resident of Mariupol, sentenced during Poroshenko’s time to 9 years on charges of adjusting fire on Mariupol from the positions of the DPR, was released from prison under the “Savchenko law,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by the First Deputy Chairman of the National Police - Chief of the Criminal Police Vyacheslav Abroskin on Facebook.
“Sentenced to 9 years... Kirsanov, a fire spotter in the Vostochny microdistrict in Mariupol, is being released today. He was serving his sentence under a court verdict dated June 18, 2019, but, according to the Savchenko law, he is being released today,” Abroskin wrote.
He said that he was going free “guilty of killing 30 civilians in Mariupol and injuring 117 of our citizens.”
Earlier, the court decided to release from prison anti-Maidan activist Ignat Kromsky (“Topaz”), sentenced to 8 years in prison for participating in Anti-Maidan civil actions. The court listed Kromsky's term of imprisonment in accordance with the explanations of the Plenum of the Supreme Court, taking into account the term of arrest, the so-called Savchenko law, and came to the conclusion that he had served the sentence of 8 years and even more.
