Representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Artem Shevchenko told reporters about this at a briefing in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Law enforcement officers have identified six possible organizers of the violation of public order near the state border, as well as 32 active participants in these events,” he said.
According to him, more than 100 people were questioned as witnesses to the events.
“Several people’s deputies have been duly sent notices of summons to conduct investigative actions,” said the speaker of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Also, 5 people, according to A. Shevchenko, were detained by the police.
“In general, the investigators of the Main Directorate of Emergency in the Lviv region, regarding the events at the Shegini checkpoint, provided qualifications under several articles of the criminal code - under four articles,” Shevchenko added.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a total of about 60 people illegally crossed the border at the Shegini checkpoint during the breakthrough. All of them have been charged.
In particular, we are talking about Part 1 of Article 332 (illegal movement of persons across the state border of Ukraine), Part 2 of Art. 342 (resistance to a government official, a law enforcement officer, a member of a public formation for the protection of public order and the state border, or a military serviceman), Part 4 of Article 345 (threat or violence against a law enforcement officer) and Article 293 (group violation of public order) Criminal Code of Ukraine.
He added that the State Border Guard Service drew up 15 administrative protocols on illegal border crossings, 4 against journalists, 10 against foreign citizens and one against Saakashvili himself.
Artem Shevchenko recalled that as a result of clashes on the border, 13 police officers and 9 border guards were injured.
Let us note that after the scandalous breakthrough of Mikheil Saakashvili, Yulia Tymoshenko and her comrade-in-arms, people’s deputy Sergei Vlasenko, were included in the database of the scandalous snitching site “Peacemaker,” supervised by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
