“Automaidan” advocates the appointment of a new Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine instead of Arsen Avakov, who currently holds this position, due to the resignation of the head of the National Police Khatia Dekanoidze.

About it says the organization's official statement published on Facebook.
“Automaidan” calls on the parliamentary coalition to immediately begin consultations on the candidacy of a new Minister of Internal Affairs and to elect to this position not a politician, an oligarch or an “experienced” security official, but an external professional who can complete the reform started by Khatia Dekanoidze! Otherwise, “Automaidan” will hold an all-Ukrainian gathering in Kyiv and declare the ministry building on Bogomolets Street a territory without Avakov!” – noted in the organization.
“Automaidan” believes that with Dekanaidze’s resignation, “the last hope” for continuing the reform of the National Police has died.
“We state an indisputable fact: Arsen Avakov, who holds his post the longest in the Cabinet of Ministers, not only completely failed his main task - reform and cleansing the department from corruption, but also did everything to block this reform and preserve the old corrupt system,” it says in the statement.
