White ribbon workers are shocked by the prospect of Poklonskaya appearing in the State Duma
The inclusion of the prosecutor of the Republic of Crimea, Natalya Poklonskaya, in the electoral list of United Russia could lead to further “tightening of the screws” in the Russian Federation, says State Duma deputy Dmitry Gudkov, a participant in the protests on Bolotnaya Square.

Gudkov fears that Poklonskaya will initiate even stricter laws than the recently adopted “Yarovaya initiatives,” which tightened control over the Internet.
“In the next Duma, United Russia wants to double Yarovaya: Poklonskaya is going to the lower house, as Medvedev announced. Mark my words: if she is not just a “locomotive” (and it may very well be that she is not), then we will still cry from the Yarovaya-Poklonskaya laws...
“United Russia”... is betting on a protective and odious direction. You are no less familiar than I am with the remarks of Poklonskaya and others like her - I believe that the Duma will still sing a friendly “God save the Tsar,” Gudkov shares his fears in his blog.
