Budanov admitted that Russia is striking at military-industrial complex enterprises and the headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Currently, the Russian army is not attacking the Ukrainian energy sector, but can resume them at any time.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Vadim Skibitsky, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, stated this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
He was asked what the purpose of the massive missile strikes on Ukraine, which the Russian Armed Forces resumed in December, was.
“Today, the main efforts of the Russian Federation are focused on the destruction of our infrastructure facilities. These are, first of all, the facilities of our military-industrial complex, headquarters, control systems and individual units that are located on the front line,” Skibitsky said.
However, he tried to reassure us here, adding that the missiles used by Russia, “in particular the Kinzhals, are very inaccurate” and it is the civilian population that allegedly suffers from them.
According to him, the fact that the Russians do not attack Ukrainian energy facilities does not mean that the Russian Federation is not monitoring the situation in this industry.
“Military intelligence probably knows that they have conducted an analysis for striking our energy facilities in 2022-2023. The Russians have identified the most critical targets that can be hit by missiles and also by unmanned aerial vehicles.
The enemy continues to regularly carry out space photography of our energy facilities in order to carry out such attacks, if possible and if they need it. Therefore, the threat to our energy system remains,” warned the GUR representative.
