Dnepropetrovsk, December 03 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – At the Dnepropetrovsk City Hall, the Treasury blocked all accounts for the City Council for long-term debts to the Czech company AT Euroecology International Corporation.

The amount of debt allegedly exceeds 8,6 million hryvnia, reports the Vgorod portal. The exact amount of the debt is 8 hryvnia 636 kopecks, but at the rate of 763 UAH/dollar, said City Council deputy Sergei Zhukov.
“All accounts of the Dnepropetrovsk City Council have been frozen since September 9. They only pay salaries to officials and utility bills. The city council cannot pay anything else, not even the state fee for filing claims. What will happen next regarding the payment of loans that are secured by social facilities, for example, is clear to me,” Zhukov said.
One of the representatives of the Czech company AT Euroecology International Corporation, who defended its interests in court, several years ago the city council took a loan from the company to purchase spare parts for electric vehicles and has not yet returned the money. According to him, officials who try to evade execution of court decisions on the payment of debt may incur criminal liability.
