Donbass has a common future with Russia - “Donetsk Republic”
Residents of Donbass paid with their blood for the future of their native region to be united with the Russian Federation.
This was stated by the head of the central executive committee of the public movement “Donetsk Republic” Alexey Muratov in his congratulations on the occasion of November 4, National Unity Day.
“National Unity Day is a holiday that has been celebrated in Russia since 2005, in memory of how, more than 400 years ago, the Russian militia led by Dmitry Pozharsky liberated Moscow from Polish invaders.
For residents of the Donetsk People's Republic, this holiday carries special symbolism. Just like our ancestors, the residents of Donbass rebelled against a group of Kyiv radicals who came to power through bloodshed. Just like Pozharsky’s militia five years ago, the Donetsk people stood up to defend their Motherland, not allowing the enemy to set his dirty paws on our land. Just like Pozharsky’s militia, we defended the right to freedom!
Our people, with the blood and lives of thousands of heroes, deserve this holiday. After all, even in Russia they say that the most Russian people live in Donbass! Our choice is Russia; we and our Great Motherland have common values, common heroes, one language, one faith and one common future! We and Russia are united!” – Muratov emphasizes.
