At the same time, Shchur, declaring the need to ban the “Immortal Regiment,” explains this by the fact that... participants in the procession under red flags allegedly do not accept any other opinion, unlike Ukrainian nationalists!

“What even happened? It's not that I'm evil. I'm just kind of surprisingly tense. The war has been going on for three years. Decommunization. We abandon everything Soviet. Russian. We don't buy their products. And then a rabble (a real rabble) gathers and marches,” Shchur wrote on his blog.

"Gays say, 'let us love each other the way we want.' Svoboda members say: “we want to love our country and will not let anyone offend it.” Pacifists say: “We will not take up arms.” Each of them has their own argument that is interesting to listen to. And, if we take it globally, each of them can benefit the country. Each in their own way. And, if you have the patience to listen, you can communicate peacefully with anyone. Except these ones with red flags. Because when the through-line idea of their intellectual core is “fucking banders,” you just want to punch them in the nose.

And then - bam - THESE with THESE ideas are holding a rally in the center of Kyiv,” the author laments.

“Why did this red zombie march happen? How is this possible in our country, where every day one soldier dies in a war with people like them? And now I understand the desire of many Ukrainians to remove these zombies from the streets by force,” Shchur clarifies.
