It is noted that when ordering through the electronic payment system, there are three prayers to choose from: for health, for victory over the enemy and for returning home alive.
Electronic payment system Easypay confirms the reality of providing such a service. For example, to order a prayer “for victory over the enemy,” the payment system offers to enter the name of the “enemy” and pay an arbitrary amount from 10 to 4999 UAH.
As Hromadsky was informed by the Easypay support service, such a service is provided by Filaret’s UOC of the “Kyiv Patriarchate”.
By calling the service provider, journalists were able to establish that the service was provided by individual entrepreneur Oleg Gonchar from the city of Cherkassy. He told the publication that he saw something similar in Russia, so he decided to make a similar project in Ukraine.
“What difference does it make whether a person goes to church or orders prayer remotely,” he said.
According to the entrepreneur, a priest from the “Kyiv Patriarchate” helped him implement the idea.
“My friend is a priest. Every morning I send him an order by mail, and he conducts prayers,” said the entrepreneur.
