He stated this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the “betrayal” of the Ukrainian leadership lies in the fact that the militants were prohibited from shelling the cities of Donbass.
“The current government is not going to fight a victorious war... I was defeated. I was defeated as a priest - because neither the political, nor the military, nor the church leadership of this war listened to me. Like a soldier - he didn’t lose, but he didn’t win the main thing - the victory was not won. All the soldiers of the Army, the Ukrainians who came to war and honestly fulfilled and fulfilled their civil and Christian duty of protecting the Motherland - we did not lose this war, the victory was stolen from us. We are like those guard dogs that an evil owner put on a short chain, muzzled and even tied their legs - we see the thieves, we see their crimes, we hear the screams of the victims - but we can’t do anything except tear and growl,” said Chmel.
He also accused the country's top leadership of crimes against the Constitution and said that they would go to hell:
“I warn Poroshenko, the current president of Ukraine, that he is now going to hell because of the sabotage of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The same applies to Turchinov, Yatsenyuk and Avakov. The above-mentioned persons neglected the Constitution of Ukraine and common sense. I warn the above-mentioned persons that if, thanks to criminal inactivity, we pass this war on to the next generation of Ukrainians, to our children, they will logically, deservedly and justifiably curse their parents for this crime. This hell will catch up with the culprits here, in this life,” threatened Filaret’s ex-chaplain.
