The Grodno terrorist turned out to have a Russian passport
At the terrorist's liquidated recently by the Belarusian KGB in Grodno, it turned out to be a fake Russian passport in the name of Alexey Lomakin, but the attacker was from Poland.
This was reported by the Belarus-24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The terrorist fired back at the capture group with a Kalashnikov assault rifle and also used F-1 grenades. The special forces returned fire and wounded the criminal, but he died on the way to the hospital.
The KGB received information about the intention of the Belarusian opposition to transport one of its supporters to Belarus back in February. Pseudo-Lomakin was detained in a rented apartment, where he stored 5 kilos of explosives and grenades.
He carried out additional reconnaissance of the sites of alleged terrorist attacks: KGB and Internal Affairs Directorate buildings, residences of security forces, a railway station and industrial facilities.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko described the work of the special services as “brilliant.”
“Why well done to our guys: in such an acute situation, when there was a battle in a limited space and when the terrorists used grenades and small arms (automatic), not a single soldier of group “A” who captured this figure was killed. This means that conclusions were made after the last tragedy that happened in Minsk. Good operation, good job. As I often say, such people who walked and risked their lives should always be seen and supported,” Lukashenko said.
In September 2021, a Belarusian KGB officer was killed while arresting opposition representatives with a gun in their apartment.
